The Mothers’ Union is a worldwide Anglican fellowship founded in 1876 by Mary Sumner in England and established in Kenya in 1918. Its vision is a world where God’s love is shown through loving, respectful and flourishing relationships — aiming to promote stable marriage and family life through prayer, discipleship and practical action.
At St. Peter’s, MU members meet for fellowship, Bible study and prayer; prepare families for baptism and marriage; visit the sick and the bereaved; run income-generating projects; and mark the annual MU Sunday. Mothers, grandmothers, aunts and guardians — and men through the associate membership — are all welcome.
