Our Mission
To proclaim the good news of the Kingdom of God,
to make disciples of Jesus Christ through Word and Sacrament,
and to serve our community in love — for the transformation of society.
The Five Marks of Mission
As part of the worldwide Anglican Communion, our common mission is expressed in the Five Marks of Mission, adopted by Anglican churches everywhere:
- Tell — to proclaim the good news of the Kingdom.
- Teach — to teach, baptise and nurture new believers.
- Tend — to respond to human need by loving service.
- Transform — to transform unjust structures of society, to challenge violence of every kind and pursue peace and reconciliation.
- Treasure — to strive to safeguard the integrity of creation, and sustain and renew the life of the earth.
How We Live It at St. Peter’s
- Worship — reverent, Scripture-centred services in the Anglican tradition, every Lord’s Day.
- Nurture — Sunday School, confirmation classes, Bible study and the fellowship groups (MU, KAMA, KAYO, Brigade) that form disciples of every age.
- Outreach — evangelism, visitation, welfare support and service to our neighbours in Nkoroi and beyond.
- Stewardship — every member giving of their time, talents and treasure for the work of God.
The Anglican Church of Kenya’s national vision — “a united, vibrant and sustainable church, equipped and committed to holistic mission” — guides our parish strategy and planning.
